If
your household is anything like mine, your washer and dryer barely ever
get a break. I can’t remember the last time my dirty clothes hamper was
completely empty. My laundry room is a place I spend a lot of time. I
was sitting in there a few weeks ago, folding away, and decided it needed some work. It is
not a large room but there was definitely some unused space that was
being under-utilized. I have been on a mission to make sure every space
in our home is being used in the most efficient way.
Here is what things looked like before...
Notice
the unused space next to the dryer. Also notice the clutter on top of
the washer. This ends up being a “dumping ground” for our family. This
was really starting to make me crazy. I found myself dreading laundry even more because I didn't like the laundry room space itself. I am in there so much, I might as well enjoy the room itself!
I decided to go check out some inspiration on my favorite blog about organizing!!! If you haven't checked out Iheart organizing, you need to!!! It is the "go to" blog for organizing and decorating. Jen
has a true talent
for organizing.
Here is what I found.....
Isn’t
this laundry room amazing?!?!
I love the way Jen has accomplished functional and pretty at the same time. I decided that I wanted to achieve this same balance of beauty and organization in our laundry room. Not to mention, I think that rug is seriously amazing! This is a laundry room that inspires you to keep up with your laundry! That's a big deal!
I went straight to Target and here is what I got...
ClosetMaid Cubeicals® 8 Cube Organizer Espresso
Espresso Wire Rattan Baskets
Drum roll please ....
One more Before and After....
Here is what I learned from this project:
1. 30 minutes ALONE in Target can change your life! :)
2. A cute and organized laundry room really helps me keep up with laundry.
3. A rug really warms up a laundry room space.
4.
Sharing how you organize can truly inspire someone. It is a gift you
give them! Thanks, Jen at

Thank you so much! It is so awesome to me to see you do this. Love the outcome of your space, those colors are all so pretty!
