LAURYN DAY

What a fantastic weekend we had!  We did a lot of celebrating and spent a ton of time with family and friends!  We will be posting all about our weekend, including our Labor Day Luau, very soon!

Until then, we wanted to put in a "plug" for the upcoming Buddy Walk!  We are trucking along in meeting our goal of raising $2500 for Down Syndrome Indiana, but we have a ways to go!  :)  To learn more about how you can help us reach our goal, and how to support Lauryn and many, many others who are extra-special, extra-extraordinary people with an extra chromosome, click on the 2011 Buddy Walk tab above.

We are excited to announce that we will be doing a fundraiser for Little Lauryn's League of Awesomeness!  We realize that many of our readers live nowhere near where this fundraiser takes place, but we thought we'd share it anyway...perhaps you know someone that might be interested...or maybe it will give you an idea about how to raise awareness and money for a cause you are passionate about!

We are teaming up with Stir Crazy (at the Greenwood Park Mall) to help raise money for our Little Lauryn's League of Awesomeness team!  They are hoping to help us cover the costs of t-shirts for our team (you don't have to walk to get a t-shirt), as well as to help raise money for Down Syndrome Indiana!

Stir Crazy plans to donate a portion of the total purchase made by anyone bringing in a "Lauryn's Day" flyer (click on the picture/flyer to print a flyer!).

We also want to give a huge THANK YOU to those who have already signed up to walk on Lauryn's team for the 2011 Buddy Walk and/or made a donation to Down Syndrome Indiana.  Your support and generosity mean the world to us.  Have we told you lately how blessed we are to have such wonderful families and friends?!?! ♥♥♥

Finally, we have some ideas on how to reach more people with our Prayer Requests page.  We want to see those prayer requests come pouring in so that we can lift up others in prayer and see the power of prayer in action!  We will be sharing these ideas with you soon!
